How to prepare

Let hair grow about 1/4 inch (roughly two to three weeks after shaving) so the wax can grip.
Skip retinoids and exfoliants on the area for a few days before facial waxing.
Avoid sunburn and tanning right before your appointment.
Afterward, skip heat for 24 hours including saunas, hot tubs and the beach, and wear loose clothing.
Gently exfoliate after 48 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Does waxing hurt?

There’s a quick sting that fades fast, and most guests find it gets easier with regular appointments.

How long does waxing last?

Usually three to four weeks, depending on your hair growth.

Can I wax if I use retinol or acne medication?

Retinoids and some acne medications make skin more fragile. Please tell us before a facial wax. Some medications mean waxing should wait.

Can I get a Brazilian wax on my period?

We recommend waiting until your period is over. Skin is often much more sensitive during your cycle, so waxing can be more uncomfortable. If you are at the very end of your cycle, we can still take care of you with a tampon or menstrual cup, but we prefer you wait a few days.

How often should I wax?

Every three to five weeks keeps hair finer and appointments quicker.
